Beauty and the Beast

Fairy tale by Diane Crews

Unable to find a suitable mate, the selfish Prince Kalanos insults the wrong girl-who casts a spell which turns him into a hideous beast. Soon after, a destitute merchant stumbles upon the castle and is taken prisoner by the beast. When his beautiful, kindly daughter offers herself in his place, the prince falls deeply in love with the lovely maiden. But will his love be returned and break the spell? Can Beauty see beyond the beast to the man inside?
