The Importance of Being Earnest

Comedy - by Oscar Wilde

Jack Worthing has created a fictitious younger brother, Ernest who resides in London. Pretending to be his own brother, Jack is free to lark about the city without endangering his good reputation as guardian for the beautiful young Cecily. To make matters worse, Jack is also in love. The deception and confusion increases when his best friend Algernon portrays himself as Ernest in order to meet Cecily. This humorous look at the triviality of marriage and burdensome social obligations of Victorian society will keep you laughing throughout.
