A funny look at what live theatre is all about! Jason decides to audition for the class play, but he doesn't know anything about live theatre. He's seen High School Musical though, and he plays basketball. It should be easy! Someone hands you a microphone, you sing like a professional, and are immediately cool. The reality is that there is no mic. He'll have to project. He'll have to rehearse. He'll have to learn observation coordination, cooperation, and concentration skills. And if he gets a part, he'll have to wear tights! Why would anyone want to do it? The other students who are auditioning seem to know, and are eager to share. Jason and the audience can then decide for themselves. |

Kids performing for kids enable children in the audience to identify with actors instantly, encouraging them to imagine acting themselves. Audience participation lets the children interact with the actors. |
